An ultra-thin conductive surface veil wet-laid from chopped carbon fibre with random orientation. Common weights are 20±1 and 25±1 g/m², thickness about 250–320 μm at 5 MPa, standard width 1270 mm (965 mm also available), cross-direction tensile strength above 80–110 N/5 cm and surface resistivity below about 15–20 Ω·cm. It is used for surface finishing and print-through prevention, impact- and abrasion-resistant surface layers, conductive and antistatic layers, and in chemical vessels, filtration and sporting goods.
