Structurally the same as a warp UD fabric, but here the E-glass direct rovings are laid parallel in the 90° direction and fixed by polyester stitching yarn running lengthwise, adding transverse strength where it is needed. Typical weights are 200–900 g/m² with a standard width of 1270 mm, customizable from 200–2600 mm, and it can be combined with a chopped layer (200–300 g/m²) or a 45 g/m² PET non-woven. It is commonly used where transverse reinforcement is required in wind blades, boat hulls, FRP pipes and tanks and pultruded products.
