A unidirectional (0°) non-crimp fabric in which E-glass direct rovings are laid strictly parallel in one direction and fixed by fine polyester stitching yarn running across them. With no interlacing or crimp, the yarn strength is used to the full. Typical weights are 336–800 g/m² with a standard width of 1270 mm, customizable from 200–2600 mm, and it can be combined with a chopped strand layer (225/300 g/m²) or a 45 g/m² PET non-woven. It is used mainly for wind blades, boat hulls, FRP pipes and tanks and pultruded profiles, and suits hand lay-up, filament winding, vacuum infusion, pultrusion and RTM.
