Biaxial(0°/90°)

A non-crimp fabric (NCF) made of two unidirectional E-glass roving plies laid parallel at 0° and 90° and stitched together with fine polyester yarn. Because the filaments are neither interlaced nor crimped, mechanical properties and fatigue resistance are better than conventional woven fabric, with lower resin consumption. Typical weight is 600 g/m² and widths of 200–3300 mm are available; it works with unsaturated polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy. Widely used in vacuum infusion, RTM and hand lay-up for wind blades, boats and structural parts.
