Two plies of E-glass direct rovings are laid parallel at +45° and −45°, crossing into a diamond lattice and held by polyester stitching yarn. With no interlacing or crimp, fatigue and shear performance are better than conventional woven roving. Common weights are 450–1250 g/m² with standard widths of 1250/1270 mm, customizable from 200–2600 mm, and a chopped strand layer or PET non-woven can be added. Widely used for hulls, wind blades, automotive parts, sporting goods and large vessels, with vacuum infusion, hand lay-up, pultrusion and RTM.
