A mat in which chopped glass fibres (200–600 g/m²) are bonded by warp-knitted loops of polyester yarn; the yarn forms regular parallel loop columns and the fibres are never interlaced, so the mat is soft, highly conformable and wets out quickly (typically ≤60 s, moisture content ≤0.2%). Standard widths are 1200/1270 mm, customizable from 200–3200 mm, and it can be combined with a 45 g/m² PET non-woven or 20/30 g/m² carbon fibre mat. Suitable for pultruded sheets, profiles and rods, pipe liners, tanks, automotive parts, boatbuilding and insulation board.
