A narrow tape slit from woven roving fabric produced in plain weave, with clearly checkered warp and weft rovings and a closed structure with no mesh openings. Common grades are EWR200/400/600/800, corresponding to about 200+20 to 800+60 g/m², thickness 0.21–0.80 mm, warp/weft densities from 5/5 down to 1.8/1.8 ends per cm, tensile strength from ≥2200 to ≥4600 N/50×200 mm, moisture content ≤0.15% and sizing content 0.4%–0.8%. It is used mainly for local reinforcement, edge strengthening and overlap joints in hand lay-up FRP work.
