A narrow woven tape made from E-glass yarn in plain weave, with clean edges and uniform thickness. Typical thickness is 0.1–0.4 mm, weight 100–400 g/m², and widths usually between 10 and 150 mm (50 mm being a common size), supplied in 30 m or 50 m coils. Heat resistant, electrically insulating and chemically resistant, it is widely used for electrical insulation wrapping, cable and transformer binding, pipe insulation wrapping and narrow-width composite reinforcement.
