A high-performance fabric woven from 3K carbon fibre tows in a 2×2 twill construction, showing a clear diagonal weave pattern and a filament-direction-dependent sheen, with high specific strength and modulus at low weight. A typical specification is 200 g/m², 3K, about 1000 mm wide, with plain and satin weaves and other weights also available. It is mainly used as the reinforcement for epoxy and other resin systems in automotive aftermarket parts, bicycle frames, fishing rods, drone structures and sporting goods requiring low weight and high stiffness.
