A hybrid fabric woven from two or more high-performance fibres, most commonly carbon/aramid (about 185±5 g/m², 0.27±0.02 mm thick, 1270±10 mm wide) and carbon/glass (about 200±10 g/m²), in plain, twill or H-weave constructions, with hybrid tensile strength of about 600–1000 MPa. Combining the stiffness of carbon with the impact toughness of aramid, it is used in marine, sporting goods, automotive, aerospace and wind blade interlayer flow media.
